Surrey fire crews deal with large blaze on Whitmoor Common
Crews from the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service have spent the night dealing with a fire on Whitmoor Common near Guildford.
The fire is understood to be around 7 hectares that's about the size of 17 football pitches.
SFRS were called at around 2:15pm on Wednesday (22 June) and 12 fire engines were sent to the scene.
They were assisted by colleagues from Hampshire Fire and Rescue and the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
People are asked to keep their windows and doors shut and avoid the area.
