Four teenage boys have been arrested after a fatal house fire killed an elderly couple.

At 4am a fire broke out at a house in Heron Close, Alton. Firefighters and police attended but Stan and Roma were pronounced dead at the scene.

Today officers have arrested four 15-year-old boys from Alton on suspicion of murder. A fifth boy, also aged 15, from Alton who had been previously arrested and bailed has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder. All five remain in custody at this time.

A 32-year-old man from Aldershot and a 16-year-old boy from Alton previously arrested on suspicion of murder remain on bail with conditions.

Police want to hear from anyone who could have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area of Heron Close between midnight and 5am on April 14, or if you have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from these times.
