County Lines ringleader jailed over Class A drugs offences in Surrey
Drugs money found on him will be donated to a women's refuge
A man who police discovered had been directing a county lines drug dealing operation in Surrey has been jailed after pleading guilty to drug offences.
20 year old TJ Le, 20 of Gogmore Lane, Chertsey, was sentenced to four years and five months behind bars when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court last Thursday (23 September).
He was arrested on 31 March after police intelligence linked him to a Snapchat account used to direct a county lines drug dealing operation supplying crack cocaine and heroin in the county.
Le had four phones on him and £1755 in cash when he was arrested, and officers searching him in custody found 48 wraps of class A drugs hidden in his underwear.
He was charged with supplying class A drugs, possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.
Surrey Police say their investigation was able to demonstrate that Le’s personal phones and multiple phones used to run the county line were often located in the same places, providing further evidence of his status as ringleader.
The money Le had on him when he was arrested will now be donated to Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid.
PC Katherine Stevens, the investigating officer in this case said: “It’s pleasing to take a prominent dealer and holder of a county line off the streets for a significant amount of time.
“We are determined to disrupt the supply of drugs in our local communities and are working tirelessly to ensure that those dealing drugs experience the same fate as TJ Le.
