Surrey Coronavirus infection rates increasing

County Director of Public Health says infection rates highest in the South East

Coronavirus rates in Surrey are "incredibly high and on the rise".

That's according to the county's Director of Public Health, who says the spread of infection is greater than in the rest of the South East and England as a whole.

Ruth Hutchinson has put it down to a growing number of cases among secondary school pupils. She hopes half-term will see a fall in new cases and has urged youngsters to take up the offer of the vaccine.
