Surrey charity hosts sponsored Sleep Out to raise money for homelessness
Aldershot-based charity Step by Step hope to raise money to tackle homelessness in young people
Surrey charity Step by Step is hosting a sponsored Sleep Out on Friday 7th October at Farnborough Business Park to raise money for tackling homelessness in 16 to 25 year olds in Surrey.
Volunteers and members of the public are giving up the comfort of their beds for the night to help raise money for charity.
Step by Step tackles homelessness by offering young people aged 16-25 a safe place to live and the opportunity to learn life skills and address mental health challenges. Last year, the charity supported more than 1,500 young people.
“We’re really excited to be getting everyone together again,” said Anda Chui, Head of Fundraising at Step by Step.
“We’ve chosen October for this year’s Sleep Out to make it more of a challenge event, in the hope that people will get sponsored and help support our essential services. We’re looking forward to seeing as many of our fantastic supporters there as possible.”
