Surrey's air ambulance charity is urging drivers to talk about speed.
Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex are calling on drivers to think about how quickly they drive, as part of Road Safety Week.
So far this year, the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex has treated over 600 patients involved in road traffic collisions across the three counties which is around 14 people a week.
The charity say that five people die on UK roads every day, and one in four fatal crashes involve someone driving too fast.
4,970 people in the South East were killed or seriously injured on UK roads last year, according to the road safety charity Brake.
The clinical director of the air ambulance Allan McHenry said: "A significant number of the incidents we attend, speed is a component in the accident. If we can all get people to talk about speed, hopefully they'll slow down and we'll reduce the amount of death and disability that happen due to road crashes."
