Seven people charged following protest outside Aldershot hotel

One Hampshire Police officer suffered minor injuries during the demonstration

A total of seven people have now been charged with violent disorder following a protest in Aldershot.

Demonstrators gathered outside the Potters International Hotel on Wednesday 31 July.

A police spokesperson said that while the majority of people gathered in a peaceful manner, some disorder was reported and one officer suffered a minor injury.

The following people have now been charged with violent disorder:

34 year old Jamie Lee Turvey, of Montgomery Road in Farnborough

18 year old Alby Brannan, of Winchester Road in Ash

19 year old Joe Howell, of Bareham Drive, Ash

25 year old Kieron Marney, of Fairview Road, Ash

28 year old Perrie Fisher, of Hillside Road, Farnham

40 year old Cameron Bowling, of Broadhurst, Farnborough

60 year old Clive Patfield, of The Chantrys, Farnham

Joe Howell has also been charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.

All seven are due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday 13 August.
