Serious crash involving pedestrian shuts part of A3

A serious crash has shut part of the A3 this morning (11 January)
Police were called the scene at around 2am following reports of a pedestrian being involved in a serious collision.
Circumstances into the collision are unknown but enquiries are ongoing,
The crash happened between between the Send Junction and Guildford Junction.
The A3 in Surrey is closed in both directions between A322 (Dennis Interchange) and A3100 (Burpham Interchange).
Diversions are in place and the A3 is expected to remain shut for several hours.
Police are asking for anyone with any information or dashcam footage in the area between 1.20AM and 2:30am to contact them quoting reference PR/P22006930.
