Boy slashed with knife in Fleet
Police say the attack is 'extremely rare'

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was slashed across the face wih a knife in Fleet.
At 8.30am on Friday 18 October a 15-year-old boy was walking along a footpath which runs alongside Hope Cemetery in Victoria Road.
He was then approached by two males who demanded the boy hand over his phone. When he refused, the males then struck him to the face and slashed him across the face with a knife, causing minor injuries. The males then run off.
One of them was described as white, aged 17-20 years old, about 6ft 2in tall, muscular build, no facial hair, short brown hair. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and grey jumper and black Nike trainers.
The second was described as black, aged 17-20 years old, about 6ft 1in tall, slim build. He was wearing a black balaclava, black tracksuit bottoms, black jumper and a grey pair of trainers.

Acting Inspector Geoff Hill said:
“This type of incident is extremely rare in this area and we know residents will be concerned.
“We want to reassure you that we are working hard to identify those involved and we have already stepped up local patrols in response to this.
