Search for suspects after ‘fight involving sword’ in Guildford

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fight on Stoughton Road, Guildford, on Wednesday, 22 September.

Officers were called to the area at around 8.30pm after receiving calls about a fight taking place between around 5-7 people.

There was also a report of a sword being seen. However, when officers arrived, the fight had already dispersed.

A search of the area was carried out, including with the police helicopter, but no one requiring assistance was found.

PC Shepherd, who is investigating the incident, said: “This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and we would like to speak to anyone who saw anything, or has any information about this fight that may be useful to our investigation.

“If you were driving through the area at the time, and have any dash cam footage of the incident, please do get in touch with us.”
