Rushmoor Cultural Day Event taking place on Saturday

There's an opportunity for people in East Hampshire to celebrate Rushmoor's diversity this weekend.

On Saturday, the Rushmoor Cultural Day Event is taking place in Farnborough Town Centre.

"We need to understand each other."

Running from 930 am to 3pm, you'll get the opportunity to enjoy continental food and drink and watch multicultural dancing groups.

There's plenty of music and dance - including two African groups who will be singing and dancing, a South Asian dance group and another dance group called Stopgap.

Local councillor Mara Makunura, who's organising the event, said: "I think bringing people together, especially when we share space with people from different parts of the world, we need to understand each other - we need to know each other a bit better."
