The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust say they've had to reschedule around 200 appointments and procedures due to industrial action.

Junior doctors have walked out for the 10th time since March as their row with the Government over pay and conditions continues.

Matt Jarratt from the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust said:

"We are losing a significant number of clinicians that would be working across the trust.

"We have to move people to our emergency services so we are having to postpone some of the non-emergency activity to a later date.

"On this particular period of industrial action, we are rescheduling around 200 procedures and appointments.

"We are open, and if you need us on an emergency basis, please come to the hospital as ususal.

"If your planned appointment has been moved, we would have told you.

"If you have not received that communication, please do attend as normal."

Professor Sir Stephen Powis, National Medical Director for NHS England, said:

"Staff and services continue to be under significant pressure as the NHS deals with the impact of industrial action and an already busy winter period, and they are working extremely hard to prioritise life-saving care."
