"Good news in the grand scheme of things for Surrey."

Louise Thomas is a car insurance expert at Confused.com - she explained what may be a possible reason for why people using their phone whilst driving.

"We're all living in a hyper connected world these days. And our data shows that most interactions are to read texts or accept a phone call So you probably think relatively quick actions you might not think they're distractions, but it's really not the case, it's still dangerous to do."

However, she also said that the numbers are relatively good for Surrey.

"Good news in the grand scheme of things for Surrey. We did see a decrease of around about 100 last year from the year before. It's pretty hard to understand the explanaations for why numbers go up and down, higher and lower. One thing for Surrey is you can see that it's far less than some areas of the country."
