Travelodge has revealed some of the “bizarre” items left behind by visitors to its hotel in Guildford.

Among things to have made it into the lost and found office of the site in Woodbridge Road are a set of first edition Harry Potter books, a wedding dress and a model of Guildford Cathedral.

Staff have revealed the list of things left by customers over the past 12 months as they try to reunite them with their owners.

The list of unusual things left at Guildford’s Travelodge include:

  • £5,000 worth of camera equipment
  • A family heirloom wall art tapestry
  • A set of first edition Harry Potter books
  • A briefcase full of personalised face masks
  • A framed 100 year map of Surrey Hills
  • A bag of vintage coins
  • A designer wedding dress
  • A doughnut wall full of different flavoured doughnuts for a wedding
  • A model of Guildford Cathedral
  • First class tickets to New York
