Police are appealing for witnesses following a racially aggravated incident in Bramley.

An investigation is underway in connection with the incident on 27 February, at around 3:40pm, when a delivery driver stopped opposite the community library on the High Street to make two deliveries.

A man driving behind the victim beeped his horn aggressively, pulling up alongside the victim’s vehicle and shouting at him through the window. He then parked his car and returned to shout at the victim again, before driving away.

A 52-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault and a racially aggravated public order offence.

He has since been released under investigation.

Surrey Police want anyone who was walking or driving along the High Street on that day, between 3.30pm and 4pm, and saw the incident, to contact them.

They are also asking for CCTV or dash cam footage.

They can be contacted at 10, quoting ref PR/45210020474.
