Witnesses sought after racially aggravated altercation in Camberley

A witness appeal has been launched following a racially aggravated altercation in Camberley High Street.

The victim was in his car along Princess Way outside the mall entrance on Saturday afternoon at around 1pm (30 October) when three men began throwing glass bottles in his direction.

A verbal altercation then began with one of the suspects shouting a racial slur at the victim.

The first of the suspects is described as a white man to be around 18 years old and was wearing a light-coloured tracksuit with light brown hair.

The second suspect was an Asian man, also around 18 years old wearing a dark top and light coloured trousers.

The third suspect was a white man, around 20 years old, wearing a navy jacket and blue jeans.

An 18-year-old man from Camberley has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order in connection with this investigation and has been released on conditional bail.

Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any further information to contact them.
