Prolific Runnymede shoplifter given 2 year CBO

32-year-old Nathan Patrick - from Addlestone - has been targeting shops in Runnymede over the last year.

A prolific shoplifter who targeted shops in Runnymede has been granted a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for two years.

The order prohibits Nathan Patrick from a number of things which include:

  • Not entering Waitrose - Addlestone, Aldi Chertsey, Sainsbury’s – Guildford Street, Chertsey, and any shop or retail premises he has been officially banned from
  • Not behaving in a manner that causes or is likely to cause unreasonable annoyance and/or disturbance towards any other person, in any public place in the Borough of Runnymede
  • Not entering Surrey Towers as shown on the map
  • He must when entering a shop or business have the means to pay for any items selected and place all items for purchase into the baskets/trolleys provided and nowhere else until they are paid for and leave basket/trolley behind
  • He must produce a receipt when requested to do so by members of staff of the shop selling goods he is in
  • He must be appropriately dressed in public, and only use designated public toilets to urinate in.

The order is in effect until 8 September 2027, and if Patrick does anything which he is prohibited from in the order, he is liable on conviction to a term of imprisonment, or to a fine.
