Pride in Surrey WILL take place this year here is when and where
Surrey's Pride event WILL go ahead this year.
Pride in Surrey is to take place on the 25th of September - having switched from Woking to Godalming.
It has been given the green light despite other events - including Brighton pride in August - being cancelled because of uncertainty over coronavirus.
Stephen Ireland, Founder of Pride in Surrey said:
"Our team are excited to be able to hold this years event in the stunning location of Godalming and we are beyond thrilled to be able to hold our event after what we know has been a challenging year for our community.
"We cannot wait to see you all in September for a Pride event to remember!"
Councillor Penny Rivers, Mayor of Godalming said:
“Thanks to Pride in Surrey for choosing Godalming to host this event and we look forward to welcoming you to our rainbow town.
"The motto of Godalming is, “Libera deinde fidelis” - “Faithful because free” - free to be who we are and free to love who we love”.
