EXCLUSIVE: Pride in Surrey location announced

Greatest Hits Radio Surrey and East Hampshire can exclusively announce the location of Surrey's pride this year.

It will be taking place in the Priory Park in Reigate.

Kel Finan-Cooke is the Communications Director for Pride in Surrey. She explains why they chose Reigate.

"We have tended to be around Woking, Camberley, Godalming. we wanted to go a little further afield so we can make sure that everybody in surrey has the opportunity to have a pride near them."

"We thought we'd go over to the east this year. It's a stunning location, and every year we're getting bigger, every year more people are wanting to come along and experience Pride in Surrey."

Kel also explained what people can expect at this year's Pride.

"We've got a main stage, we'll have a community stage, we've got lots and lots of stalls, so obviously your foods and your drinks and things like that, but lots of services, lots of charities, lots of non-profit organisations who are there specifically to help the community."

Pride in Surrey will take place on the 9th of September.
