£100,000 funding scheme for swimming pools announced

Hampshire county council have announced a new £100,000 funding scheme for swimming pools in the area

The aim is to make more swimming pools more inclusive,

particularly for those living with long-term health conditions and older adults.

Councillor Stephen Reid, Executive Member for Health and Wellbeing, said: “For many swimming is more than just exercise – it’s a lifeline for physical and mental wellbeing. This investment will help ensure more people in Hampshire regardless of ability or experience, can enjoy the health benefits of getting into a pool to swim and exercise.”
