Surrey Police have launched a public appeal in a bid to reunite over a dozen dogs with their owners after they were seized by officers during a raid.

The force took 20 animals from an address in Shipley Bridge earlier this month under the Animal Welfare Act and have been working to find out who they belong to.

Anyone who believes they can provide proof of ownership in relation to any of the dogs, is asked to contact Surrey Police via 101, quoting PR/45210038723.

Those getting in touch will be asked to provide the owner’s name and contact details, the dog’s name and microchip number, and the number of the dog you recognise from the slideshow.

Officers have asked people not to contact them with offers to rehome the dogs, adding: “As much as we appreciate your kind offers, if the dogs’ owners are not traced we have a rehoming procedure already in place.”
