Police release new image of man they want to speak to after Aldershot assault

A new image has been released by Hampshire Police, as officers investigate an assault in Aldershot where a chair was used as a weapon.

At around 2.20pm on Saturday 17 June police were called to a report of an altercation involving a group of men on Union Street.

Two men, aged 24 and 25, were assaulted by members of the group who used a chair and other implements as weapons.

The 25-year-old suffered a head injury which required hospital treatment.

A 22-year-old man from Aldershot has been arrested on suspicion of affray and common assault.

He has been released on conditional bail until Tuesday 24 October.

Union Street was very busy at the time of the incident and it is believed a lot of people would have witnessed what happened and officers say they are keen to hear from them.

The man in the images has not yet been identified.
