Police appeal for witnesses after man seriously injured in assault
The Hampshire and Isle Of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Aldershot.
The Hampshire and Isle Of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses, after a serious assault that occurred in Aldershot.
The assault took place at around 3pm on Saturday 11th March. The victim was driving along Redan Road where he became involved in an altercation with a driver of a van.
When both drivers were out of their vehicles, the victim was punched to the floor and then further assaulted on the ground, leading to fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.
The driver of the van was reportedly carrying a hammer during the incident. He's described as aged in his 40s, white, around 6ft tall and as having tribal tattoos up the side of his neck.
The van that he was driving is described as either graphite grey or metallic burgundy in colour, with a partial registration number of 18 BLK.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses of the incident, including a driver of a white Transit van which drove past prior to the suspect leaving the scene.
They'd like to hear from anyone who perhaps drove through the area at the time or was parked in the area at the time and could have caught this incident on Dash Cam.
