Play areas in Rushmoor are set to re-open by tomorrow morning (18 February) after being closed for around a month.

The Borough Council announced on 13 January they would close all 39 of their playgrounds in Aldershot and Farnborough because of the area's high coronavirus infection rate.

However, Rushmoor Borough Council are asking people to remain cautious and sensible.

In a post on Facebook the authority said:

"Although it’s good to see a steady reduction in coronavirus infection figures in Aldershot and Farnborough, we do need to ask for your continued help to keep the playgrounds as safe as possible."

The Borough Council are advising people to:

-Use hand santisier before and after using the play equipment

-Wash your hands again when you get home

-Keep at least two metres way from other families

-Not go into the playground if it already looks too busy

It is also recommended residents wear a face covering to give extra protection.

In line with the ongoing national restrictions, skate parks, sports courts and outdoor fitness equipment remain closed.
