Pensioner left with serious injuries following collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Alton, which left a pensioner with serious injuries.

Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 5pm on Monday (December 18) to a report of a road traffic collision on Draymans Way.

This involved a pedestrian and a white Vauxhall Corsa.

The pedestrian, a 78-year-old from Alton, suffered a serious but not life-threatening injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any relevant CCTV or dash cam footage.
