Pedestrian involved in serious collision on A322 at Lightwater
The route has been shut in both directions for much of the afternoon

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A322 at Lightwater this afternoon (6 April).
Officers were called to the incident involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian, which occurred at around 2.20pm.
Both sides of the dual carriageway have been closed whilst officers deal with the incident and Surrey Police have said “road closures are likely to remain in place for at least a few more hours”.
The force added: “An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is currently underway and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, with any other information or any dashcam footage, to contact us straightaway quoting incident reference P21071370 via 101.”
