Two arrested after pedestrian found seriously injured on A31 in Farnham
She was discovered lying in the road
Two men have been arrested after a pedestrian was discovered seriously injured on the A31 Farnham by-pass after a collision at the weekend.
On Saturday (5 June) police were called around 1:20 am to the westbound carriageway between the junctions of Weydon Lane and the Coxbridge roundabout to reports that a woman had been found lying in the road.
She remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police say a car which failed to stop following the crash has since been found - and the arrests made after members of the public came forward with information following a media appeal.
A 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man from Aldershot were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including causing serious injury while driving, assault causing grievous bodily harm, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, failing to report an accident and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
Both have been released under investigation.
Enquiries remain ongoing and officers are still appealing for information, particularly anyone with any dashcam footage from the area at the time.
