Motorcyclist seriously injured in Aldershot crash

The man, in his 20s, has suffered life-changing injuries

A man from Farnborough, in his 40s, has been arrested after a motorcyclist was assaulted, and then went on to be seriously injured in a separate incident.

The rider, in his 20s, was thought to have been in an altercation with the driver of an Audi in Queen's Avenue and Hospital Road in Aldershot on Friday afternoon.

After riding away, the younger man was then involved in a three-vehicle collision at the junction of Queen’s Avenue and Alisons Road.

The older man - who was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and driving whilst unfit through drugs - has been released while investigations continue.

The motorcyclist was taken to St George’s Hospital in London with life-changing injuries.

Hampshire Police have called for witnesses, or anyone with CCTV, dashCam or doorbell camera footage captured between 1.45pm and 2.15pm on Friday 16 April, to come forward.
