Michael Doyle appointed new Woking manager

The 42 year old has signed a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Woking have appointed a new manager.

Michael Doyle joins the Surrey side has worked as an assistant head coach for Notts County and Forest Green Rovers, and as a professional development coach for League One side Portsmouth.

Doyle also had a decorated playing career, captaining his sides to either the play-offs or promotion in eight of his ten seasons as a player. He was also capped once by the Republic of Ireland national football team.

He is the permanent replacement for Darren Sarll, who was sacked last month.

The 42 year old has signed a contract until the end of the 2024 to 2025 season.

Caretaker Manager Ian Dyer will resume his duties as Assistant Manager under Doyle, with Goalkeeper Coach Marlon Beresford and Player/Coach Scott Cuthbert also continuing in their roles. Ben Turner will complete Doyle’s staff, joining as a First Team Coach.

Doyle will take charge of his first training session on Monday.
