Police investigate after a thousand pounds worth of Champagne stolen

It happened at a Sainsburys in Camberley in February

Police are appealing for information after a man stole over a thousand pounds worth of champagne was stolen from a Surry shop.

It happened on Monday 20th February at the Sainsbury's in Watchmoor Park, Camberley.

A man in his 40s entered the store, where he picked up bubbly including Bollinger, Laurent Perrier, Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot, and then left the store without paying.

He is described as a white, around 5’11” tall. He has brown hair flecked with grey, which was slicked back to make it look spiked. He was wearing a dark coat, dark trousers, and black trainers, and has a tattoo on his hand.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police says, "While we can appreciate the feeling of wanting to live a champagne lifestyle on lemonade wages, we cannot condone theft and therefore we would like to speak to the individual pictured in this CCTV image about this incident."
