Man wanted in connection with Aldershot assault

Officers say if you see him do not approach, but call 999

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an assault in Aldershot.

It follows an attack late at night in Gordon Road in the town on Saturday 18 July, in which a man in his 20s suffered facial injuries.

Officers want to speak to 48-year-old Steven Kavanagh from Aldershot about the incident.

Three others, two 26-year-olds and a 52-year-old, all from Aldershot, who were detained on suspicion of GBH with intent were all released under investigation.

Kavanagh is described as “white, around 6ft tall, of a broad build and has short brown hair”.

Hampshire Constabulary are keen to speak with anyone who has any information on his whereabouts, what vehicle he drives, or anything else that may assist in locating him.

They added that if you see him “do not approach him, but call 999, quoting the reference 44200268208”.
