Man taken to hospital by air ambulance following assault in Epsom

Police say he suffered serious face injuries

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Epsom.

It happened in Great Tattenhams, Tadworth shortly after 10.30am yesterday morning (Saturday 2 July).

The victim who was on an e-scooter, was involved in a crash. It is believed that after the collision he was attacked by three masked White men.

He was taken by air ambulance to hospital with serious face injuries where he continues to receive treatment.

A 53-year-old man from Tadworth has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are reassuring local residents that officers remain in the area and it is believed that this may have been a targeted attack.
