Pedestrian suffers serious head injuries during Farnham crash

Police are appealing for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Farnham which left a man in hospital with serious head injuries.

The collision which involved a pedestrian and a silver Volkswagen Transporter van happened on Friday night (14 May) at around 10:15pm in Ridgeway Road.

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with head injuries and remains in a serious condition.

A passenger in the van was not hurt.

A man in his 20s who was driving the van was not injured but was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit to do so through drink or drugs, driving whilst over the specified limit for drugs and dangerous driving.

He was interviewed and released under investigation.

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam fooage to come forward.
