Man suffers life threatening injuries in Alton crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious single vehicle collision in Alton yesterday (4 November).

At around 2.20pm, a Black Triumph motorcycle was travelling on the A339 southbound with two others when it left the road at the crossroads with Station Road and Lasham.

The rider, a man in his 20s, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The A339 was closed while the incident was dealt with but reopened at just before 9pm.

In a statement officers said: “Did you see the collision or the moments beforehand? Do you have dash cam footage showing what happened?
