Man suffers head injury in Liphook attack

A 20-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Liphook yesterday (29 June).

Officers were called just after 10.30pm by paramedics to reports of a 20-year-old man having been assaulted in the area of The Square.

It is believed the incident happened between 9.45pm and 10.30pm.

The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for an injury to his head, he has since been discharged.

A 20-year-old man from Liphook has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

He remains in custody at this time.
