Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed after disturbing burglars in Farnborough.

It happened shortly before 9pm on Monday (7 October) at a property on Ribble Place.

Hampshire Police say officers were called following a report that the property Place had been accessed by two men.

The address had been searched and cash and jewellery stolen.

Police say the men were disturbed and one of them fled. The other assaulted a man inside the address.

Officers were then told a scuffle took place outside the property and the man who had been assaulted was stabbed in the arm. He suffered minor injuries.

Police say they want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity.
