Donation box with £700 and 15 bottles of booze stolen in East Hampshire
It was part of a string of thefts and burglaries in Aldershot and Farnborough
A man has pleaded guilty following a string of burglaries and thefts in Aldershot and Farnborough.
35 year old Wesley Owens from Holywell Close in Farnborough was charged with four counts of burglary other than dwelling, theft from a shop and theft from a motor vehicle.
He admitted all offences when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday (18 September).
It comes after officers received reports that a bag was stolen from a vehicle in Aldershot on 17 May and shoes worth £121 were stolen from New Look in Aldershot on 11 June.
On 25 July, there was a report that cash had been stolen from House of Dosai in Farnborough.
Meanwhile, police were called following a report that a donation box, which contained £700, had been stolen from the Shiva Cultural and Community Centre in Aldershot on 19 August.
Officers received another report that cash and alcohol had been stolen from Buddha Convenience Store in Aldershot on the same day.
And on 6 September, cash and 15 bottles of spirits were stolen from Empire on High Street in Aldershot.
Owens was bailed with conditions and is due to be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on 13 October.
