Man left on Hogs Back after being 'pushed into car' in Guildford and driven to A31
Police want to hear from two people who stopped to help the victim
Police are appealing for information after an incident in which a man was pushed into a car in Guildford, before being driven to the Hogs Back and left there.
It happened between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday (30 January).
Officers say they want to talk to a man and woman who found the young man and gave him a lift from the layby on the A31 going towards Farnham, back to Guildford at around 10pm.
They are also asking members of the public to come forward if they witnessed anything suspicious in the area around Clover Road, Guildford at around 9pm the same evening.
Investigators are keen to hear from anyone who saw a grey car, possibly a Nissan Juke or similar.
If you were driving in that area and have a dashcam or helmet cam, or if you live in the area and have a video doorbell or CCTV, you are asked to check your footage from between 8.50pm and 9.15pm on Saturday, 30 January and get in touch if you can pick out such a vehicle or anything out of the ordinary.
Investigating officer DC Kerry Plumb says “I’d like to make it clear these people certainly aren’t in any trouble. We want them to help us understand more about the circumstances. If this was you, please get in touch.”
“This relates to an incident that we don’t believe poses any wider threat to the community but we hope that the public will be able to provide some vital pieces of information to assist us in piecing together our enquiries.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting PR/45210010166.
