A man from Shepperton has been jailed for over three years for causing serious injury by dangerous driving

34 year old Luke Young, of Acacia Avenue in Shepperton, was sentenced to three years and four months, he was also disqualified from driving for 9 years and 2 months.

The collision occurred in the early hours of July 15th on Balfour Road in Weybridge after Young, failed to stop for police when indicated to, he was already disqualified from driving,

Young trying to evade police drove at speed and collided with another vehicle, causing serious facial injuries to the other driver which needed surgery.

DS Ben Grilli, said; “Luke Young had no regard or thought for the consequences of his dangerous driving on that fateful day in July and as such a man suffered serious injuries through no fault of his own. Most road traffic collisions are entirely preventable and especially so in this case. If you drive dangerously in Surrey you are putting other people’s lives at risk and we will bring you to justice where we can.

“We are pleased he will now spend over three years in prison to think about his actions and will not able to cause disruption to the lives of anyone else.”
