Man dead after Fatal Surrey crash
It happened on the A24 in Capel
It happened on the A24 between Kingsfold and Clark's Green around 7am - with two cars involved.
Firefighters and paramedics attended along with police but the man, who was in his 60s was dead.
The road was closed until 345 pm yesterday,
Now officers want anyone who saw what happened - or has dash cam footage - to come forward
The police statement reads:
We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A24 in Capel on 14 January.
Officers were called just after 7am today (14 January), following reports of a two-vehicle collision between Kingsfold and Clark's Green.
Fire, Ambulance, and Air Ambulance attended, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, the driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 60’s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.
The road was closed in both directions until 3:45pm to allow officers to carry out their initial investigation. The road has now fully reopened.
We are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist our investigation, to come forward.
