Man charged with murder over death of 87-year-old in Surrey
She passed away in hospital four days after being seriously assaulted.
A man has been charged with murder following the death of an elderly woman in Reigate in June.
Guy Douglas Unmack, 45, of Warren Road in Reigate, was charged with murder on Wednesday (7 October), following the death of 87-year-old Rosemary Hill.
Mrs Hill was seriously assaulted in Warren Road on 21 June and died four days later in hospital as a result of her injuries.
Her family are receiving support from specially trained officers at Surrey Police.
Unmack was arrested on 21 June on suspicion of attempted murder.
Following his arrest, he was assessed and detained under the Mental Health Act.
He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court today (8 October).
