Man attacked during attempted robbery in Farnborough

An 18 year old has been arrested.

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted during an attempted robbery in Farnborough.

The 36 year old victim, from Aldershot, was approached by three men last Wednesday (7 October) at around 6:30pm, as he was walking from the Meads shopping centre into Kingsmead, towards Sainsburys.

The trio attacked him as they asked for his possessions - but ended up fleeing empty-handed.

An 18 year old from Farnborough has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.

He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.

Officers want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, and might have seen three men in dark clothing.

They also want to speak to a man in a green Nissan Amira who stopped to help - as he may have information that could help them.
