Man assaulted outside Chertsey supermarket

Police are looking for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside a supermarket in Chertsey.

The victim was walking to his car on Saturday afternoon (1:55pm, 13 February) when he was approached by a man in his 50s near Aldi on Gogmore Lane.

After a verbal altercation the suspect assaulted him.

Members of the public intervened and the suspect fled the scene, the victim was left shaken but did not sustain any serious injuries.

The suspect is described as:

Male

White

Around 55 years old

Approx 5ft 8 tall

Large build

Pale complexion.

Medium length grey hair

Wearing a grey coat, with a gold chain around his neck

Seen driving a small dark grey hatchback car
