Man in his 70s assaulted in car park of Farnborough Costco

A witness appeal has been launched after a man in his 70s was assaulted in the car park of Costco in Farnborough.

It is understood there was an argument beforehand between two men at around 1:30pm outside the shop in Templer Avenue.

During the assault the victim was kicked in the leg causing bruising.

Members of the public intervened and the incident was later reported to the police.

The suspect is described as:

• White

• Around 5ft 11ins tall

• Of stocky build

• Aged in his mid 50s

• Wearing glasses

• Driving a red Kia Picanto

Hampshire Police have been carrying out enquiries and are now asking members of the public for more information to help their investigation.

Officers say they know that the car park was busy at this time and a number of people intervened.

They are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to contact Hampshire Police on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44230451455.
