Man arrested after woman killed in A3 crash near Guildford

Police in Surrey are making fresh appeals for information following the death of a pedestrian in her mid-twenties after a collision on the A3.

It happened between the Send and Guildford junctions at about 1:30am on the 11th of January.

A 22 year old man from Ottershaw has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving whilst unfit through drink.

He has since been released under investigation.

Officers say they would particularly like to hear from two HGV drivers who were travelling in the area at the time of the incident.
