Man arrested after emergency worker assaulted in Woking
Police were called to the High Street this afternoon

A man has been arrested after an emergency worker was assaulted in Woking.
Officers attended the High Street at 1:30pm this afternoon (19th March) after reports of someone with a knife.
After a thorough search of a suspect and the area, no item was found.
But, a man was later arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and taken into custody.
Police say there is no ongoing risk to the public.
