Just Stop Oil protestors have climbed onto gantries around the M25 for the third day in a row, stopping traffic in certain locations, including stretches of Surrey.
This morning, November 9, around 10 Just Stop Oil supporters climbed their way onto the M25 at around 6:30am.
Two protestors on a gantry at junction 14 on the motorway led to a temporary closure of the road, which has now been reopened and the protestors have been removed.
A protestor on a gantry near junction 8 has also been brought down and arrested, following a temporary road closure at junctions 7-8 clockwise earlier this morning.
One protestor also climbed on a gantry between junctions 9-8, and has now been removed and arrested for public nuisance. Another was arrested by police officers before they were able to climb up.
Surrey Police have been proactively patrolling the motorway this week, in anticipation of further action taken by climate protestors.
The force has asked traffic to not ignore the red crosses or use the hard shoulder if they are delayed, as this has an impact on any emergency vehicles.
Just Stop Oil members have said they won't stop until the government scraps plans to licence new oil and gas projects.
Meanwhile, in Essex, a person has been arrested on suspicion of causing public nuisance after a lorry crash, which has closed the road between junctions 26 and 27 clockwise.
At junction 30, one person has climbed a gantry, which will close the road. Essex Police stopped another.
On Tuesday there were severe delays on several parts of the M25 as activists from the group climbed gantries.
22 people have already been charged as part of the ongoing operation to crack down on the group - who say they won't stop 'til the government scraps plans to licence new oil and gas projects. 16 further arrests have also been made as the Met and other forces are continuing to tackle the activist's protests.
