Help for those alone or suffering abuse during lockdown in Surrey

Surrey County Council is reminding people of the help that is available during the current lockdown.
The local authority has urged anyone needing support with shopping and prescriptions, or just someone to talk to, to call their Community Helpline.
People suffering domestic abuse can also access help, seven days a week via their dedicated phone line.
Where to access help and support:
Help and Support in Surrey - Community Helpline number: 0300 200 1008:
To help direct residents who need support - if friends or family are unable to help - with shopping, prescription collections or having someone who can be a telephone friend.
To provide advice on where to register your offer of help to support your community. Availability: Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm SMS: 0786 0053 465 for Deaf and hearing-impaired residents only (Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm) or call your local District or Borough Council.
Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV):
If you are shielding and unable to rely on friends, family or neighbours to help with shopping or picking up medicines you can call:

It's OK to not be OK: Mental health and wellbeing:
Visit adult mental health and wellbeing on Healthy Surrey where you'll find tips on mental wellbeing and information on how to access specialist support locally.

At home shouldn't mean at risk:
If you are feeling frightened in your home because of the behaviour of another adult, or you know someone who is at risk while staying at home:
Surrey Domestic Abuse Helpline is open 9am to 9pm, seven days a week: 01483 776822 or visit Surrey Against Domestic Abuse on the Healthy Surrey website.
Call 999 if you are in immediate danger. If you can't talk out loud the police operate a Silent Solution. Call 999 and then press 55. This will transfer your call to the relevant police force.
Bright Sky is an App providing support and information for anyone experiencing domestic abuse, or someone concerned about a friend or family member. It can be downloaded for free on the Google Play Store and App Store, where it is available in English, Polish, Punjabi and Urdu.
Children and young people who don't feel safe at home can get help from Childline - call 0800 1111 or visit the Childline website.
Financially Struggling:
Help is there if you are struggling financially, there are a number of ways you can get financial help depending on your situation. More information can be found on the Surrey County Council I need help web pages. You can also call 0300 200 1008 or visit the Surrey Crisis Fund web page for information on emergency grants.
