Heavy rain expected across Surrey and East Hampshire
A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office
We're expecting heavy rain across Surrey and East Hampshire today (Thursday 4th January) with a yellow weather warning lasting for 15 hours.
The Met Office say another spell of rain falling onto saturated ground, may lead to further flooding and travel disruption.
The yellow alert is in place from midday until 3am on Friday (Friday 5th January).
It comes just a few days after Storm Henk battered parts of the UK with strong winds, leaving more than 100,000 homes without power.
A man in his 50s was killed after a large tree fell on his car in Gloucestershire.
What to Expect
There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
Spray and flooding is likely to lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads
Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
