From now on, it'll have to get even hotter for a heatwave to be declared in Surrey

The Met Office is raising the threshold for the county by 1 degree, to 28 Celsius.

Five other counties have also seen their threshold rise - Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire must also see 28C, while it'll be 27C for Lincolnshire and 26C for East Yorkshire.

A heatwave's formally declared after three days of a certain temperature in an area.
